Oh Claire Improv is a comedy theater based in downtown Eau Claire, WI. We specialize in live, unscripted performances that range from short-form games to long-form improv. We also teach classes and host show that feature sketch and stand up comedy.

We’re located at 515 Wisconsin Street in downtown Eau Claire right by our neighbors at The Lakely, The Oxbow, The Local Store, GSB Thrifting and The Beyond.

Tickets are available online through Volume One Tickets or at the door (if we’re not sold out!). We highly recommend buying in advance as we often sell out!

Yes…and! We offer improv AND stand-up comedy classes for all experience levels. Check them out under the “classes” section of our website. We also offer youth classes and camps throughout the year.

While improv is unscripted and unpredictable, the short answer is: usually not. Unless the show is clearly labeled “Family Friendly” or “All Ages.”

Most of our regular shows are best suited for audiences 17 and up. Think of it like bringing your kid to a Judd Apatow movie—there might be heart, there might be hugs, but there will almost definitely be inappropriate language, suggestive themes. We also often have stand-up comedians open our shows, and we don’t screen or censor their material ahead of time.

Nothing graphic is ever portrayed on stage—we're improvisers, not HBO—but ultimately, it’s up to you as the parent. Young audience members are always welcome at our all ages shows, they all of the fun without any of the F-bombs.

Absolutely! Our bar is open before, during, and after every show, so if thirst strikes in the middle of a scene, we've got you covered. We offer a selection of beer and soft drinks, as well as complimentary water at the end of the bar.

We currently hold a Class B beer license, which means you'll find cold beer and beverages, but not a full bar.

We do not serve food but we do happen to be surrounded by some fantastic local restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops that make the perfect stop before or after the show. Check them out while you are downtown!

There are several parking options within a short walk of the theater. Street parking nearby is available for $0.50 per hour during paid parking hours. We are also a short walk from free parking areas.

Please note: the lot directly in front of the theater is reserved for residents and neighboring businesses and is not available for show guests.
